Rain Plans: Lets do this!
We will be setting up a large tent and hanging large roofing tarps around the perimeter of the building today. If all goes according to plan this will create two large covered outdoor areas: 1@ 20x40 1@20x60. In addition we will be opening up space inside the building for people to set up. The main gallery space will be used as a congregation space for people to socialize and enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and cider. Personal pop up shelters will be grouped closer to the main building instead of being circled around the field. Please bring any extra shelters you have. Games and music will still be happening and good times will be had by many.

The Station and Silver Birch Cycles are stoked to present the first annual ADK Outdoor Expo & Community Gear Swap. The event takes place on the 7 acre grounds of The Station in Onchiota NY. There will be a full day's schedule of outdoor skills workshops and gear demos from regional outdoor vendors, outdoor groups and conservation organizations. Live music, tasty food, art, games and fun stuff for all ages.
The gear swap part of the event happens from 11-1:00. Bring your used but still highly usable outdoor gear to sell or swap with your friends and neighbors. No fees are charged to sell your personal gear. You handle your own transactions person to person. A small fee is required for retail vendors.

The Station is located 1/4 mile form the Buck Pond public campsite. Stay the whole weekend and take advantage the local offerings of hiking biking and paddling.

You are NOT required to register to sell or swap your own private gear. It would be a lot cooler if you did send us a message using the contact form so we know how many people to make space for. You ARE required to register and pay a small fee if you will be selling things as a for profit retail vendor.​

The Gear Swap will a fun social activity - not a Black Friday style feeding frenzy.​ Just be chill and enjoy meeting people. Take your time and swap stories as you are swapping gear.

Follow the golden rule. Please only bring gear that is in safe, usable condition.

There is no centralized checkout or payment system. You will handle all your own transactions person to person.

There will be WIFI onsite for using electronic payment methods

We will not be providing tables. You are welcome to bring your own table or just lay your stuff out on the ground in some sort of organized fashion.

The Expo is a leave no trace event. Please take anything that you didn’t sell, swap or give away home with you at the end of the day.

Please don’t bring any firearms to sell.

How do I unload and setup my stuff?
There will be a designated unloading zone. Helpful people will assist you in unloading your gear and carrying it a short distance into the field. Please remove your vehicle from the unloading zone and go park it before taking the time to setup your beautiful display of wonderful items.
What do I do if it is raining? Will the event still happen?
The event will happen rain or shine. Bring a pop up canopy if you have one. We will put as many tents and tarps as we can to provide some coverage if it rains. If needed we will also make space inside the main building for people to set up.
